Fixed Fire Suppression Systems

Stat-X Aerosol Fire Suppression System

The Stat-X Aerosol fixed fire suppression system is an innovative, cost-effective and ecologically safe solution for rapid fire extinguishing and protection of high value enclosures. Stat-X Units are simply fixed directly on the wall or ceiling in the risk area being protected, which allows easier and more cost-effective installations that require no pipe work or nozzles. The Stat-X units have zero ozone depletion and zero global warming potential and are available as electrically, thermally or manually activated units. Read More.

FM200 & NOVEC Total Flooding Clean Agent System

Effective on Class A, B, and C fires, it extinguishes fires quickly through a combination of chemical interaction and physical heat removal. It does not smother flames by removing oxygen. It removes heat energy from fire, not oxygen from the environment. It absorbs heat from the flame zone and interrupts the chemical chain reaction of the combustion process.

Stored as a liquid in pressurized cylinders, FM-200 flows through a piping network to a discharge nozzle  where it is deployed as a gas. The amount of FM-200 delivered to each nozzle is carefully calculated to ensure the appropriate concentration level.

FM-200 Water less Fire Protection systems are designed for uniform distribution throughout the protected area. Unlike water or water mist, which may be unable to penetrate inside electronic enclosures and cabinetsor reach a fire that is underneath machinery compartments, the gas penetrates with three-dimensional capability, easily reaching into obscure or hard to reach areas.

Big Fire Protection in Small Package Storing in cylinders as a liquid saves substantial storage space. This results in far less cylinder storage than many other fire suppression systems saving valuable floor space for more productive uses.

CO2 Total Flooding System

Carbon dioxide (CO2) Gas, the fastest and most efficient extinguishing agent against fires in protected spaces, suffocates the fire within designated time and minimize the damage in protected spaces.

The Fire Extinguishing system extinguishes the fire by means of CO2 gas. The system consists essentially of CO2 cylinders, main isolation valves, manifold, CO2 nozzles in compartment protected space, and pipe lines connecting these main parts. The system is to be designed by the required discharging time, CO2 cylinders quantity and which are stored in independent CO2 room.High pressure CO2 systems are used for the fire protection of machinery spaces, pump rooms, cargo holds, paint stores and galley exhaust ventilation ducts. The systems are designed according to the SOLAS requirements and are type approved by the major classification societies

Deluge Foam and Water Spray System

A deluge system is similar to a pre-action system except the sprinkler heads are open and the pipe is not pressurized with air. Deluge systems are connected to a water supply through a deluge valve that is opened by the operation of a smoke or heat detection system. The detection system is installed in the same area as the sprinklers. When the detection system is activated water discharges through all of the sprinkler heads in the system. Deluge systems are used in places that are considered high hazard areas such as power plants, aircraft hangars and chemical storage or processing facilities. Deluge systems are needed where high velocity suppression is necessary to prevent fire spread.

Automatic Water Sprinkler System

Each sprinkler is a true heat detector calibrated for a fixed temperature. A wide range of different quarzoid bulb and fusible solder devices (heat detector) are available for different applications and temperatures. As soon as the threshold temperature limit is passed, the quarzoid bulb bursts, or fusible alloy device melts and the sprinkler valve opens and releases the water under pressure.

The water is projected directly over the seat of the fire which has generated the heat to operate the sprinkler. The rapidity of this action prevents from the fire spreading. The opening of even only one sprinkler starts an alarm which will alert the occupants as well as at the same time the fire brigades. The essentials role of water automatic extinguishing systems is to ensure that the fire is fought right from the start, by projection of water and simultaneously actuating the alarm.

It is particularly suitable for solid combustible class A fire. Water is the most used extinguishing agent due to its availability as well as to its low cost.

Low/High Expansion Foam System

The HEFM PolyEx high expansion foam generator is powered by a foam nozzles and are designed to expand the foam solution into a millions of a tiny stable bubbles. Expansion ratios up to 1000 litres of foam for every one litre of solution can be achieved depending on the generator selected, the solution flow rate and the water pressure. The generator require no other source of power such as electricity or gasoline engines. It is powered by the foam solution driving a hydraulic (water) motor.

LEFG & FFB foam makers are designed to be an air-aspirating discharge device used primarily for the protection of the seal area of open top floating roof tanks and dike areas around tanks. The foam maker incorporates an orifice plate (sized for the required flow at a given pressure) and an air inlet. The foam maker is normally installed in the line of a semi-fixed or fixed foam fire protection system.

Kitchen/Galley Wet chemical Fire Suppression System

The Nobel K-Series wet chemical Suppression System is one of Europe’s premier kitchen and galley fire suppression systems.

The wet chemical suppression system employs defence technology ‘Gas Generators’, similar to the technology used in life safety applications such as car airbags, which enhance safety, reliability and enable complete monitoring of the system. Each fire system is designed specifically around the risk at hand giving complete flexibility and control.

The K-Series system is C.E. Marked and is approved and certified to LPS1223 and ISO 15371:2009. Marine type approval includes Lloyds; MCA; ABS; DNV/GL; RINA and Korean Register.
